Rhinoceros Beetle 1.2

2004-4-13

I have recently been going through my old works and revising them using the knowledge of design I now have. While refolding version 1.1's crease pattern, I was disturbed that the crease pattern did not actually fold flat. It was very misleading in its foldability. Using some irregular folds, I fixed the model's hood to be clean and also allow for the bettle's antennea with the paper that had previously been wasted. This model was folded from 10" Japanese foil.

The reference point on the bottom edge is found by folding point (0,1/2) to point (5/8,0) assuming the square is of length one on the coordinate plane.
